Short Demo of how to create a pad from scratch. I didn't edit the modulations, enveloppes or LFO in this example. Here is just a demo of the V-Synth GT's ease of programming :
1/ sampling form a microphone
2/ editing and looping of the sample
3/ encoding
4/ Variphrase editing
5/ COSM and TVA editing
6/ effects

  • How do you use your sound once you have saved and encoded it ? mines doesn't show in the list when i look for my sampled sound ... and the manual doesn't explain this either

  • @C4INED

Maybe that's because you have to encode it first and save after. Then it should appear in the samples list at the right place.

  • Great machine. I going to use one with a Fantom G8 to add to more fun and

    creative sound design.

  • @KZ4USA

    Good choice !

  • Deweak, this is amazing. The range of sonic possibilities on the V-synth GT are endless! Congrats and thanks for persuading me to get one too!

  • Yes, but V-Synths are not the right machines for piano playing (no piano multisamples except the JD-800's one, hum hum... )

If you use the GT for what it does well, it's a great piece of gear. But not a workstation !

  • @Deweak thanks man , been using my v synth for a while now !!! incredible piece of equipment just limitless equipment this synth really does open a massive door ! , cheers man thanks for your support !

  • @Deweak Ok thanks i will try again , i have also set up the firewire and usb connection so a tutorial on how to import files as samples and play them back in keys etc would be much appreciated it may sound like i cant be bothered reading the manual but honestly i cant find a part in the manual that tells you how to play the samples back and get them in tone list to select etc , any help much appreciated !

  • That is why you buy other boards for other uses.

The V-synth GT is powerful for vocal stuff and stoutsounds has been making

sounds with it Cheap prices too.

  • @Deweak I agree. And i'm sure you know most people don't use their workstations to full capacity either. They are mainly using them for pianos, organs and electric keys.

  • @leslawrenson I had also the VP 9000 before I got my XT... these machines are sooo awesome for intuitive creating of unique sounds! And I am very happy that Roland has developed the engine and features from the VP 9000 so well!

  • Awesome!

I've owned my V-Synth GT since Xmas 08 and i've still have not scratched the surface. I'm using stock patches.

Would you put out more tutorial videos on how to program with your narrative or explaining each sequence
