That's just like saying, "It's like every digital video cameras is a rip off of the first one ever made. Don't they have any ideas?" Yes it was based off of the first type of devise of it's kind. That doesn't mean it's a rip-off or they don't have good ideas.

The first touch phone was made by Sagem in France. In late 90ties So, iPhone is Sagem clone - why Apple doesn't have own ideas?
