  • The harpsichord is a refined instrument of precision, it is often reflective in nature, i often find that fans of this noble articulate sound are cultural and wise , that,s been my experience, concerts are never dissapointing, always come away refreshed, love it........<3

  • I agree - the "sound" is part of the experience! I have no problem with harpsichord music being played on a piano, but - it just isn't the same! Nor would it be the same if modern piano music was played on a harpsichord. Purcell, Bach, and others didn't just put notes onto paper. They had specific sounds or "colors" in mind. No doubt they might be delighted with modern instruments, but their music on them is - for this purist - interpretation, delightful yes, but not exactly as intended.
