I've received a lot of good feedback from my Mushroom Farm and had a lot of requests for a "how to" build on this project. In this video I'll show you how to build the entire Mushroom Farm from the ground up in an outside project.

According to Minepedia (Minecraft Wiki), in "1.8 mushroom spreading was nerfed, so that a mushroom will only spread if there's less than 5 mushrooms in an area of 9x9x3 around the original mushroom. "

@hypnotizd It's sad because this Mushrooms farm was extremely effective, it worked wonderfully in 1.7 i'm sure you'll come up with something that will be just as effective in 1.8 ;)

@kittyboy900 :/ You never know, they might unnerf mushrooms once again... *wishful thinking* In the meantime you can always just plant some mushrooms and bonemeal them. It's was faster than this farm ever was ;)

Man, I'm so bummed that this design doesn't work anymore. I used this design on so many servers and on my single player world. It worked so well. Hopefully, that new design that you say you're working on comes out soon. :)

@JimRomeful After looking at the possibilities I don't think any mushroom farm design could be as good as this one was :( I'll still give it a try, but I wouldn't hold your breath for anything close!

DOES THIS WORK ON 1.8 ? I've built it and the mushrooms dont spread, ive built this same one before on 1.7.3 and it worked amazingly, i did the improvement thing where you put MORE seed mushrooms under the blocks that the original seed mushrooms are on aswell. Any help?

@oliver200666777 It appears this design no longer works :( Maybe with way less seed mushrooms. I might look into redesigning for 1.8.
