My attempt at UD on bass. I'm by no means a slap bassist yet (though I have been practicing), plus the strings i'm using are too high a gauge to get a really good slap tone. But this is the best I could do. See what you think and enjoy.

  • now I want to play bass.

  • The description tells the circumstances weren't perfect... and you're no slap bassist yet.. therefor: 110/100

  • you played the wrong notes for the verse btw.

when the singing starts go down to 6th fret

  • i suppose you didn't remain indifferent to that applause at the beginning ;)

  • @FunkyFleaFrench i know the tabs, do you still want them? :)

  • @FunkyFleaFrench No! not your nut, I would rather figure it out using this video then tearing off my ball. Use your ears...

    You can do it!

  • If i give to you my left testicule, can i have the tabs?♥

  • good technique, just make sure that bass is in tune next time!

  • epic, nice slaps and pops plus it goes in awsome best i've saw yet but i wouldn't have used a live version but other wise awsome

  • already do..

  • how did you mount the camera???

It's really easy, mate. Basically, make a "thumbs up" with your right hand, and slap one of the strings with the side of your thumb (try to hit the string with the bony bit in the middle). UD's chorus bassline is based on octaves, so you'd be doing that for the lower notes of the octave on the lower strings; for the higher notes on the higher strings, get the string under your fingertips and just pop it! Takes a bit of practice to get up to speed :)
