Just a quick test I made to try out the lighting equipment, QuickCam Pro 4000 and to give my custom minifig Dalek an 'airing'. As this is just uploaded for test purposes.
I really hate this film now, it has loads of flaws. But it is getting lots of hits, so I thought I'd leave it here. My other films are a lot more polished than this.

The film was made using a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000, a light tent and daylight bulbs, AnimatorDV and as Sony haven't pulled their finger out yet and made a Vista compatible version of Vegas I had to resort to the terrible Windows Movie Maker 2 for compilation and editing. There are 140 frames in this movie and the very cool wall sections and warehouse door are in fact from the Mega Bloks Alien Agency The Arrival DNA Lab set. You have to get this second hand on eBay now as it is no longer sold as far as I know.

If you are interested in starting Brickfilming, why not visit the best Brick Filming website there is on the net.
http://www.bricksinmotion.com there is an active forum to discuss all aspects of Brickfilming. It's a new site and will be growing rapidly over the coming year.

  • were did u get the garage peice in the backround

  • @legocreationmaster The shutter door and wall sections are from the Mega Bloks set 'Alien DNA Lab' which is no longer made, but you can pick them up cheap on eBay. I bought two separate ones, both were incomplete, but they had all the wall sections and doors. So they were cheaper still. Very useful items for set building.

  • how did you put the eyestalk on to the head?

  • @legoman14059 - Yeah I had to cheat, it was superglued on. No other way to do that bit. I am sure the Lego purists out there will be offended by this lol.

  • i have made 3 daleks, davros and a dalek emperor (i have more but these are just my dalek ones

  • Sounds interesting, I hope you post some footage or photos of them soon.

  • daleks are sooooo anoying

  • @FunnyBoysFilms great idea. i even saw a website who glued it on too

  • @enjoiskaterbmx That is a very good question. Well I am old so I started watching Doctor Who when it was Jon Pertwee the 3rd Dcctor Who, then Tom Baker etc. I always thought they were the best Doctor Who. But I have had to change this now as I thought David Tennant was amazing and I don't really rate Matt Smith I am sorry to say. So have watched a lot. Not a obsessive fan, I couldn't name the episodes or all the baddies etc. But I have enjoyed the series over many decades !

  • u know, its very cool but u dont need to use super glue ill put a video on u tube soon showing my dalek (just using lego) and how to make it it also fits in with my mini figs everyone who in my family who seen it seen it said that its great it may take a while before it ends up on utube but it will be before the summer holidays end is that okay?

  • how u make it?
