Meerkat Manor :: A funeral for Zaphod ♥

I didn't have much footage of Zaphod, but I manage to get some before I made this viddie! :) When I first heard of his passing, I was devastated, but then I immediately felt happy because he was reunited with his love, Flower! ♥ But again, I wept for the loss of our Kalahari King!

Here is a summary of our King in the making ::

Zaphod was born on December 9, 1998 into a group called Vivian, named after his mother. His father was a meerkat called Phoenix, and his littermates were Youssarian and Rapunzel. In February of 2002, he and his roving companions, including Youssarian, first immagrated into the Whiskers the top males fought fiercely for the position as dominant male. Zaphod won dominance by Flower's side on April 27th, 2004, and loyally remained by her side until her death in January 2007. For about 6 weeks, loyal Zaphod stayed with his family, despite of the fact he couldn't breed, since everyone in the family was related to him, and eventually recieved his own radio collar. Then later, Zaphod and five other males were seperated from the main group and formed the roving coalition known as the Incas. The party eventually came across a splinter group of the Whiskers, called the Aztecs, where Zaphod permenately settled in to guard his succeding niece, Monkulus (aka Maybelline). He stayed with her until March 4th of 2011, when age caught up with him and passed away. Zaphod was amazing. He was strong, brilliant, beautiful and loyal until the very end. His memory will be cherished for as long as I live, until my time comes and I can finally meet the Kalahari's favorite couple.

@TheCatherinemh Thank you for such a touching comment. I too, am broken by the loss of our dear Kalahari King, but my first reaction was happy was because I knew he was with his beloved Queen, Flower, but then again at one point, I wept for his loss, but then I was happy again because my mom now gets to know both of them in heaven!!

im acctualy annoyed i cant find eney other seasons except from season 1 and season 2.im so devistated we already lost our favourite meerkat female flower now we have lost our faithful king meerkat r.i.p always be in my heart the pair of use.

i am soo saddened by "Zaphod" passing away. Farewell my "King". I hope you are in heaven as "Flower" as well is. I have lost more than my faith on things of this nature. After losing my mom of cancer in november 2009. I have come to realize that in life, life after giving, starts to take away from us the good/what really matters to us in life/in our hearts... such precious moments in time frame 2:23 thru 2:33... Farewll my "King"

I have lost beyond my faith on my mom passing of cancer in november 2009, that when things of this nature happen jus proves as time goes by in our lives that life stops giving and jus starts to take away everyhting that matters/is good in this world, in our lives... such a precious moments in time in frame time 2:27 thru 2:27... Thank you so much for sharing this video. I am deeply saddened by Zaphods' passing. The only way I find any peace at all is by believing that he is FINALLY with Flower--whom I still deeply miss--and by watching a Memorial Tribute as beautiful + touching as this one. The music is superb--this is amazing.
