Yates was making the pass on him and hit him... it's pretty clear what happened. What, was the guy supposed to have eyes in the back of his head or something? I'm not saying lappers don't suck, but Yates went into the turn way too hot.

I don't know about Aaron Yates,but when I went through road racing school we were taught that it was the responsibility of the PASSING rider to ensure the pass was safe to make, NOT the rider being overtaken. At the time of this crash Yates was a factory Suzuki rider and should have lost his job for the actions he displayed. He has a history of these types of outbursts.

Yates is an arrogant prick. That was entirely his fault and then to assault the other racer not once but twice?????? He should have been DQ'd for the season and fined heavily.

@Nubbins well it looked from this video like Fania was taking an odd line into the corner. I'm not familiar with the Daytona course, as I don't have SPEED and can only see the race at Fontana, so I don't know if this corner sets up directly for another corner. If that is the case, then Fania's line may have been normal, but it looked strangely wide from this video. Yates thought he had room to the outside, but it seemed as though Fania swung wide and made the contact. Just my take on it.

yates fault fina was not a lapped rider and he was in his line yates was tring to pull off a bomb to the in side and fina is still racing and never quits he does the daytona 200 every year

um... right after this in the pits there was a very big fight and both teams were in jail for the night and anthony fina is a awsome rider and is still racing this race so if want to call someone a pussy do it to there face

look you idiots. It may be a little hard to see from this angle but I saw it live. The lapper actually ran into Aaron, he didn't turn in. He just went straight into Aaron instead of making the turn!

fania didn't get a blue flag(rider passing)-and had no idea yates was there-NOT FANIA'S FAULT--FLAGGERS FAULT!!----ALSO,FLAG OR NO FLAG, it's up to yates to pass clean. i do think yates is insanely talented/great rider---but--- he did take things TOO far !!!
