I agree ... somewhat. I know it's disappointing, but with the state of the economy, and sponsors pulling out left and right, it's obvious why one would not ever want to depart from a very long-term sponsor. Do take note, however, that the Marlboro name is no longer on the cars.

Regardless, I will continue to call "Team Penske" my favorite ... as I have for a great many years.

I think that there is a law that states that tobacco companies can't have their logo advertised, no matter if they sponsor the team. At least the European Union did that in Formula 1.

yes but the Subliminal logo is still there. And there is program where smokers that smoke Marlboros or any other Phillip Morris USA product get a free hat and ticket by being on a mailing list and proving that they smoke their product. that is still very un-ethical

Roger Penske was a Phillip Morris USA/Altria board of director member from 1991 to 2003.

I'm sure more people would be upset if Glock or Halliburton was a sponsor. Yet. the number 1 killer of adults is Cigarettes.

How does the IRL not know about that program?
