I mean that the Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot is not a bad idea. But as a Navy man I gotta tell you, the US Navy has a lot to offer too. You should look into it- Get your degree 1st tho. Don't forget about the Coasties, or The USAF too.

@00mrmonster What do you mean they said you didn't rate? Platoon level leadership? Sorry, I'm not in the military I don't really know that much about it. I'm trying to decide which branch to go to so I can become a helicopter pilot.

@jess1up I am a Navy Corpsman and I spent 3 yrs w/ the marines , deployed to war with them , did everything they did : got shot at , blown up w/ them and at the end of the day some of them said we didn't rate.
Marines -some are ok. But i got to know them. And because of that I am very proud and glad to be a squid.
The Marine Corps plays an important part in the defense of America, got it. Their leadership (high echelon) likes the navy. Platoon level leadership can suck it.

@00mrmonster Yes they do over exaggerate on some things, but they still have a way better graduation. As hard as dive school is I think they deserve a much better graduation than what they have. This is weak and makes me not even want to think about joining the Navy.

@jess1up Dude, all the super up tightness is not necessary sometimes.
The Corps over exaggerates things sometimes.

This is why I am so glad I never joined the Marine Corps, the relaxed atmosphere and professionalism of the Navy . Marine Corps ceremonies are so rigid and stupid at times.
