It is the Ryder Hanify, later George L. Olson, a lumber carrier in the northwest for over 20 years until she hit the south jetty of Coos Bay on June 23rd, 1944.

A similar ship--the last of it's kind--is scheduled to be dismantled in Richmond Ca, because no one has shown interest in it--a wooden steam schooner called the Wapama. Sailing ships people understand, steamships get over looked. This is a nice wreck, but there's a complete wreck--and a restorable one at that, on a barge in San Francisco bay that needs help.

that ship was the old "ss.wodens wave" it was lost at sea in 1835 near the coast of oregon

Its a movie prop used in a movie from the 1930's. Too expensive to tear apart and sell. I guess.

where is a metal detector when you need one?

Here's my best guess:
The barque General Butler - 08 Dec 1891 Coos bay / Cape Blanco started breaking up 100 miles offshore. Part of hull drifted north and ran aground at the Yaquina jetty.
