An Introduction to our journey into the Orthodox Church in America or the OCA

This is the first installment on our testitmony and journey into the Orthodox Church in America. The OCA is what is called an Authocephalus Church or self governing and comes from the Russian Orthodx Church. I am new to the Orthodox Faith but have been a unworthy servant of Christ for almost 30 years. I hope these videos will encourage and inspire those searching to find Christ's Church established by himself to look into the Orthodox Faith.

Hello My Brother!

We are similar. Congrats to you and your family! I hope your journey has been enlighting as mine! I am being chrismated into the Othordox faith (OCA) this Sunday. 40 yrs I was on and off with Roman Catholic, Nazarene Protestant and Orthodox. I decided to proclaim my faith in Orthodoxy like you..my reason is because at the Divine Liturgy, is where I feel the closest to God and within His Kingdom on earth. This Sunday morning I will think of you and your family. God Bless!

orthodox is the oldest n the first religion after jesus christ and as the bible tels us there is only one religion and that there is time for it tobecome one again, anyways you have found truth my frnd and those people who r being unreasinably ungry on u, they r just the start don forget Jesus christ is the truth n majority of the world almost to be all nvr supported him, the journey is not gone b easy its gonne get harder the more u stay in it n which should make u stronger if u don give up

Orthodox Christianity is the oldest and the one true Christian religion . Visit Hagia Sofia and Holy Mount Athos and you will feel the same... Regards from an Orthodox Romanian...

I was raised Methodist and spent most of my life as an Evangelical.

During my 10 yr spiritual crisis I looked into Orthodoxy.

I found it very appealing, but the cultural differences were a problem for me.

So I became a confirmed RC Easter 2001, - where I thought my American culture would not be a problem.

However my study shows that orthodoxy has stayed truest to 1st C. Christianity,

and it's Gospel message is truly love. 180 deg from RC and it's daughter protestantism.
