It's said that American POW's in WWII were used to manufacture the zero's as much of them were destroyed by allied forces of the U.S. Nonetheless, I always loved the zeros and the WWII era of the pacifici theater.

The plane probably doesn't fly, as there are only 2 flying examples in the world.
when the guys who made the movie 'Pearl Harbour' set about getting flying examples together for the attack scenes they were amazed that they could get only 2 planes. All the other planes in the movie's various attack scenes are special effects.

Never understood why it had such a long canopy. Was it a navy thing? Looks like a 3 seater!1 But still agood looking plane.

Zero was smaller than US fighters and the canopy helps pilot`s veiw.
