@MrBallab Just like cartoon characters, pretty much everything you do becomes a stereotype. If i was to voice in serious shorts then i would be speaking much more normally, but I've made all of them over the top since i work with silly cartoons most of the time anyway. Find me a single Irish person that talks like the accent i did for them and I'll give you a dollar. :)

Great tutorial! But if you have a bunch of characters that grew up and lives in the same place, they should naturally have the same accent, right? Then it is harder to give them a unique accent and a unique sound.
Do you have any tips for this scenario? Should one just let them all have the same accent and instead try to distinguish their voice characteristics in other ways?

This was really fascinating and helpful! Thank you! Mister Jazza, you are a pretty talented and ingenious guy to figure out how to mess with your vocal chords AND act at the same time!

What are your qualifications to make this video anyway?

@GamekrazzyProduction And I don't mean professionally sadly... just in school :(

Nice tutorial, I really want to get into voice acting as well as singing, and animation (Wow, I think I got tons of art related stuff I enjoy) :P
Anyways, sadly I don't have good quality equipment as currently I am using a logitech headset that records more than I want to be heard as well... its a headset...
Jazza, I am glad to see you helping us other artists out with voice acting and such, I know you know what your talking about as I have had several years of experience with acting and music.
Josiah, I know you said the male voice usually matures at around the age of 20-21 or so, but I am 16, and I dream of becoming a great voice actor. I was actually heavily influenced when I found out you were the only voices in Larry, and I wondered what I, myself, can do to be a great voice actor. I brought up my age because at my age now, I have a relatively deep voice, but I keep cracking when I hit high notes I used to be able to hit. Is that just my voice maturing? If you could help, thanks.

@ZeonPeon it's likely to be one of two things, 1) your voice is breaking so just be patient XD or 2) you're voice is naturally deep and doing high voices might be naturally difficult. Don't worry! it's OK to have a limited range! I SUCK at deep voices and have very little variations of them, so the world needs lots of deep voiced dudes. Look up Don LaFontaine. That guys had pretty much ONE voice but it was so good he changed the world of advertising. Just practice and do what you love :)

Hey Jazza, thanks for the tips, but what age do you think can be best for voice acting?
SuperMansueto98 7 months ago
@SuperMansueto98 i'd say the voice for females matures earlier then a males (17-18), males would be around 20-21
