Throughout his respectable bowling career, 27-year-old Dave Ferraro never before had won a singles championship. But fate took a fortuitous turn when Ferraro turned back John Gant, 254-221, to claim the $150,000 Budweiser Classic and its $27,000 first prize.

  • Yah, bowling was on NBC for quite a number of years in the 80s thru the early 90s...they televised the PBA fall tour.

  • Ah. I uploaded a match that has your dad in it. He's an awesome bowler :)

  • gant, sorry, haha, i thought my screenname might give it away ;)

  • O_O Dave Ferraro is your dad?! or were you talking about Gant....

  • hahaha, this is my dad! I had no idea these videos were on here...

  • It's in New York, about an hour and a half north of NYC and an hour south of albany.

  • You know him personally? Lucky. :)

    Wait, where is Kingston?

  • Dave is cool. I have known him all my life and still bowl in his house in Kingston. I remember breaking my arm and being mad because i couldnt watch him bowl while they set the arm. Also, Dave temporarily came out of retirement to bowl the Columbia 300 classic. However, his 207 average wasnt enough to make it past the round of 64.

  • I remember watching this live as a kid, and John Gant, my favorite, was using the same ball I was throwing at that time, the blue Nail. Thanks for the memories!
