Hmmm. This is the second video that I've seen that comments on the proprietary usb port for recharging. Lose the proprietary usb cable and your out of luck. Though a small item this is a good reason to consider NOT buying Kindle 2. (Same reason I took into consideration Mac's proprietary connects on their Macs and why I don't own one ... yet.)

I think we all expect any gadgets to do as much as the iphone these days! Iphone-itus i think we should call it!

Still not keen without the back light as i mostly read in bed late at night and it would be great if I could read it in the dark - wow - am I really just too lazy to reach over and turn out the light?
