That makes sense. I'm about that white, I don't tan purposely though. Usually comes after a burn. And, just to point it out, they do have commercials for relaxation instead of tanning. :)
I guess so, but I'm rather tired of this idea of 'paleness' being a bad thing [or for that matter, a good thing. can't we just avoid the subject entirely?]. Is there really no other way of marketing the Bahamas than this?
It's not funny when you've got thousands of young ppl in this country exposing themselves to cancer via suntanning, and when you've watched family suffer through this disease.
DISGUSTING. OFFENSIVE. My Grandfather DIED of skin cancer. My MOTHER has has 2 Melanomas at only the age of 50. IF SHE HADN'T GONE TANNING, SHE WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN CANCER.
A person's natural skin color is what's healthiest. Just because it's the majority group, doesn't mean it's okay to suggest they change their god-given features.
I will NEVER go to the Bahamas, now.
Terrible advertisement, The Group that payed for this ad should get a refund.
bring back this campaign

I do like the relaxation ads where they show the stressed out yuppies :)
FWIW, though, supposedly every blistering suburn you have in life ups your skin cancer risk something like 10%
Sorry my original comment was so bitchy, I was probably having a bad day and this ad just really struck me the wrong way.
