  • @alifeson85 Queensryche referred to themselves as an intelligent metal band and it shows.

  • Cause this is the hunger we need to feeeed!

  • THE BAND IN FIRE!!!!! WHERE IS THIS FIRE!!!!

  • @Apostolios this concert really kicked ass! It was my second show. lol They were incredible.

  • Great piece of film here!

  • this is when they wre unstoppable!!!!

  • @herda5 spring 89............................

  • @Apostolios It was. I saw em open for Plastica (haha - j/k) at the beginning (chicago - 11/1988) and the end (Peoria IL - 4/1989) of their US tour. It was good both times but MUCH BETTER later in the tour. Later in the tour, they dropped Breaking the Silence and I don't believe in love and played Needle Lies and Chemical Youth. They were DEFINITELY trying to play their heavier stuff for Metallica's crowd. It worked - place went nuts for both of those tunes. I DID!!!

  • great song!

    jeff is genius.

  • Yes, I know what you mean. Queensryche's music was "progressive" in the sense that it was complex, challenging, and showed a great understanding of scales, chords, and composition, yet it was never devoid of emotion (or melody), which some progressive music tends to be. If anything, their music was very emotional, dramatic, and dynamic. I think they had the perfect balance of technique and feeling.
