Hi im thinking of getting this exact set up and i have a few questions:
1) does DMX control each individual light, if not can this be done
2) how much did this set up cost you?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!

i'm not entirely familiar with the DMX tech and everything, so would this still be a good purchase just running the built in programs and the footswitch? I don't need anything too serious, just led fades but the more I can get outta a product the better, obviously. would I need to look into DMX?

this would be a bigger help if the video also showed what was being seen on the dance floor, that's ok because other DJ's showed how the lights look on the walls and floors. Thanks for sharing

@jenndixon1 - Just turn one 4BAR around 180degrees and flip the light fixtures. The panel will face the audience, but is not really noticable since the LEDs are pretty bright.

How were you able to get the 2 bars & 4plays to mirror each other rather then duplicate (left - right) programming?

I just Picked up the same exact setup for my band and used them on our first gig last night. Well worth the money! These lights are great. They are simple to setup and breakdown and the sound activation work great with the band. So much better than the heavy power hungry can setup we have! One question, I'm running them the same exact way you are here, with the 4bar in master/slave and 4play in master/slave...just wondering, what type of cables are you using? Are they DMX data cables or XLR?
Regarding the "hook up", two quick things: DMX are a Must. DMX is rated 110=120 ohms, vs regular mic cable @ 80 ohms. Actually for this clip I used regular mic cable (50 ft) and if you look carefuly, you can notice the actua l response delay between the 4 bar fixtures. DMX is more accurate in data transfer rates, especially when you have several fixtures liked using long cable lenghts.

I was curious about that. A 4 play linked to a 4 bar in master/slave don't work together as a stand alone outfit because they are different fixtures.I just linked together the 4 bars and the 4 plays in master/slave independently.( one 4 bar through the other, one 4 play through the other). Through dmx routing via controller then you can work them linked together but with separate channel controls for each fixture..

There is absolutely no other rig so portable/budget wise avaliable. And it pays for itself all the time.
