Marty Schwartz will make you a better guitar player!!!

I've been taking Marty's lessons for a year now, and they have made me LOVE the guitar. This little video explains why. If you're curious about my level of playing I posted some videos on my channel; the blues project was after 6 months of his lessons, the Sheryl Crow cover was after a year of his lessons, and the rock/funk one was after 18 months. Prior to starting his lessons a year ago I had never picked up a guitar in my life. I'm definitely an amateur, but I'm a dedicated one.

just one question...did the damage you did to your vocal chords heal, and how long did it take?

@dogcat21o two years later, unfortunately no. I even went through 6 months of speech therapy and rested my voice (didn't speak) for 3 weeks. but my problem wasn't textbook - I saw 3 different doctors and none of them knew what the problem really was. you can sense why I was discouraged at the time, but I really am over it now. guitar has done wonders; I'm doing stuff I never would have dreamed of doing. thanks for asking.

Just out of curiosity, but what do breaking vocal chords (which sucks, sorry about that) have to do with switching instruments? Anyway. Awesome Strat! I have the exact same one (Am though)!

Marty is the greatest guitar teacher on the net, and most likely in the world. I love watching his videos, although I usually pause them and play with the pieces/licks he teaches. I love how it is never just "this is how you play this song; there's always a "And if you just play around with this you'll get this kind of sound." Hopefully there will be Marty Schwartz lessons for a long time to come. Thanks Marty.
