It is utterly and solely about power. Power of the state over the individual. We are now witnessing exactly what our Founders explicitly warned us about and took great pains to protect us from. I wish she would say what her solution would be, so we can compare. Rep. Ryan, to his credit, took a shot at that. His Medicare voucher system would leave hundreds of thousands of people without medical care. How? The cost of insurance would far exceed the voucher limitation. Insurance companies will not cover pre-existing conditions without the force of law, and even then only at great cost. The Democratic solution reduces cost by forcing universal coverage, which lowers average cost.

In these days of the Citizens United Decision, and the Koch brothers bankrolling right wing “grass roots” fronts, your vote is a rubber stamp for the Multinational Corporations.
