2001 PT Cruiser Exhaust

With the Echo tube = TOO LOUD

With the dynomax = just right. There's now another chunk of pipe & a turndown so the deep tone is even quieter, but I don't lose any gas mileage.

With the new pipes, I'm getting in the range of 32-34 miles per gallon.

@accordztech I cannot stand the "chainsaw" racket that 4bangers usually make. I took out the center pipe & resonator which was maybe all of 20inches long & replaced it with a 31inch long Cherry Bomb. Right now I am trying to design an exhaust system that will let me keep the seep tone but use side pipes instead of the twisted up-over-around-through the back axle assembly.

Thank you for not being a retard with a PT cruiser with a ugly sounding exhaust. This one sounds beutiful, not to loud not ricy. There are some PT cruisers here that sound like rocket ships that move slow lol. I like!  How big was the resonator?

@Turtle889 I have replaced the centerpipe with a cherrybomb glasspack, 31inches (as long as I could fit in there) to deepen the tone & get away from the usual dodge neon chainsaw sound. The Dynomax VT muffler in place of the factory one really helps as well. It's not bad for a 4 banger.

@Turtle889 Running straight pipes is illegal here. I don't feel like getting my car impounded because I went over the DB limit for exhaust sounds. The camera didn't pick up how loud it was. We took it for a test drive before the video was shot. The interior resonance was crazy, had to yell to each other to be heard. Outside the PT, it was 3x as loud as it was inside, but you had to be directly behind the car for that effect. :P

you call that loud my pt is stright piped its loud
