Pop Bottle in the Microwave

This is a sealed bottom of 7UP in the microwave. As the pop heats up from the microwaves it starts to boil and eventually blows up. As you can see in the video it takes about 5 minutes to blow it up.

At first we tried this with a can of pop but it didn't work, probably because the metal can doesn't let any microwaves get through to the pop inside.

DO NOT try this at home. It'll ruin your microwave. This experiment was done outside in a controlled setting.
