The Harrods Annual Christmas Parade (the arrival of Father Christmas at the world famous department store). If you've never been, this is a must for Christmas lovers young and old. Make a note in your diary for next year: the parade takes place on the first Saturday in November at 8am.
The video is cut to an edit of John Mathis' gorgeous version of 'The Most Wonderful Time in the Year'.

Hi looks very nice. Do you have to queue ffor hours to get to see it. We are thinking of going this year. Also could you recommend any good hotels? Thanks.

Hi - yes it's great fun for kids and adults. You don't need to queue but if you want to ensure a good view you need to arrive between 7-7.30am. The Parade begins at 8am with the finale (Father Christmas arriving) at approximately 8.30am. Check the LondonforChristmas website for more info. (2008 updates will be available by mid October 2008). Sorry, I cannot help with hotel recommendations, but travelling to Harrods is not difficult as it has a very close tube stop nearby.
