During her spectacular career, Rita Moreno has portrayed some tough women, from Anita in West Side Story to Maria Callas in Master Class. Now this legendary performer takes on the toughest woman of all—herself. The star of stage and screen returns to Berkeley Rep for the first time since her sold-out run in The Glass Menagerie. Rita recounts her improbable life in an irreverent and entertaining new show that features a lively band and two expert dancers. Expect another breathtaking performance from the lady who won the Oscar, the Tony, the Grammy and two Emmys.

  • @samuelxsam Free Associated State Of Puerto Rico - Puerto Rico is not an independent country, but it is not a state hence "associated", Puerto Rico has it's own 3 branches of government and own laws. All of this means, Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the U.S. but acts as an independent country instead of abiding by all U.S laws. Besides all of that, P.R. is in no way, shape or form like the U.S. cultural wise. When moving from one place to another it's immigration. Correct year 1918

  • @nfahwi I KNOW RIGHT?!- We are fiending for you Ms. Moreno! - Please come to New York!

  • "It's a story of an IMMIGRANT girl who comes to THIS country..." Now I am REALLY confused. I thought Puerto Ricans where in "THIS country" therefore how can you be an immigrant if 1) you were already a US citizen; 2) Or did you sneak into Puerto Rico from another country THEREFORE when you arrived, in Puerto Rico or mainland US, you where an immigrant? You were born in 1931. Puerto Ricans became US citizens in 1917, per Congress. You are an immigrant? I don't understand.

  • Okay.... I'm freaking out.... WHEN IS "LIFE WITHOUT MAKEUP" GOING TO NEW YORK?!?!?!?!? I must know!

    Best wishes while at Berkeley!
