This is the pull up, chin up, and body weight row bar system that my Dad and I put together out of pipe and angle iron. The side bar is adjustable on height to make the body weight rows easier or harder. This unit is a one stop "work up to a pull up" machine allow for every step along the way to build the muscles you need to reach a pull up. Also if you can't do a pull up it weighs about 200lb by itself so you can always just haul it around :-) The row bar can also be used for doing things like incline or decline push ups as well. Build entirely out of scrap from my dad's work shop. If you would be interested in one we can quote you out a price, be forewarned that pipe is not cheap these days, but we would love to build more for the right buyer.

  • Be nice if you'd video someone using it doing pull-ups. How stable is it? does it wobble much?

How much weight can it handle? I may be interested in one, but has to handle upto 400lbs.

  • @goismael using the top bar there is no wobble. The base is quite wide. The row bar on the side could cause some depending on where you put your center of gravity, but just by being aware of where you point yourself I don't think it would be an issue. This setup easily holds 400lb, and could probably do a lot more. If you needed a lot more weight you could just get thicker pipe. We used half inch to keep the overall weight down, while still keeping it solid. Pipe is incredibly strudy.

  • Do ya think you could put up some basic plans? just things you need to make something like this.... much appreciated dude!

  • @EvilKineeval I'll work on putting something together.

  • you need to do cardio Mr.Heavybreathing

  • @oscarlolage Thanks. Skipping is great, I try to incorporate jumping rope into my warm ups and my routines as well. It's a real burner, especially at my size, but it's worth it. Just moved this contraption up above inside the garage so I don't have to work out in the rain.

  • @jconfidence Keep up the good work man :D i'm going to make one of my own, btw if you are trying to lose weight you should try skipping if u haven't already (but you probably have :) ) p.s skipping for only 3 minutes is the equivalent of running a mile :D Good job!

  • Nice build man, I'm looking to build something similar, Good luck with your training :)

  • Well you are very astute. The point was to build something I can use to train to a pull up. Down 50lb so far, someday I'll be there.

  • your pretty big for pullups?
