Convicts in a 20 gallon? Wouldn't they get to big?
-
No way! way too aggressive!
-
if you had natural looking gravel i would love your tank but the bright blue gravel kills it. nice fish otherwise.
-
How big is your tank? sometimes the Male is aggressive to others of the same species if their tank is too small, Guardoing fry or eggs.
-
i think, but i may be mistaken, that 20 liters is over 3 gallons, and i keep 3 guppies in a 3 gallon, so i think five neons sound about right for a 5 gallon :)
-
i have a pair but the male is mean to the female she has to stay up in the corner or the male will attack her!! WHY??? help anyone
-
Change tthe title so you dont get any crap comments about how its a 20 L tank

i want to get a 20 gallon tank
and only put in male and female convicts
u think thats a good idea
Are you sure that's a 20l tank? It looks more like 20 gallon's! If it's 20litres that's barely big enough for 5 neon tera's on their own! Nice tank though :D

I appologize, I should've been more clear. It is a 20 Gallon Long aquarium, not 20 liter.

The lack of an Orange stomach is the major indicator for a male. Even at a very small size, most females will be easily noticable because of their orange belly. Males do generally have pointier dorsal fins compaired to the females, but I think with Convicts it's easier to just look at their bellies to find out if it's a male or female. If there is orange on the tummy, it's a female, if there isn't, it's a male.
