Here's a little Halloween treat for all of you!
'The Brides of Dracula' is a 1960 Hammer Horror film directed by Terence Fisher and starring Peter Cushing, David Peel and Yvonne Monlaur. It is a sequel to the classic 'The Horror of Dracula', which was an adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel.
The story follows Van Helsing's continued struggle against the forces of evil. After slaying Count Dracula he is now after Baron Meinster, a disciple of the dark prince. Meanwhile Meinster seduces numerous women, only to turn them into his vampire minions. Now his eye has fallen on a young French beauty named Marianne, a woman who Van Helsing holds dear. It is now up to the Dutch vampire hunter to slay Meinster and save Marianne from the forces of evil.
The music that I used in this video is from Tim Burton's film 'Sleepy Hollow', which in turn was based on the Hammer Horror films. The windmill sequence at the end of 'The Brides of Dracula' actually inspired the finale in Burton's film.
'The Brides of Dracula' belongs to Universal Pictures. 'Sleepy Hollow' and its soundtrack belong to Paramount Pictures.
