Belal Assad was born in Melbourne. He started his Islamic studies at a very early age and acquired his Shariah knowledge in Lebanon; and continued tertiary education in Bio-Medical Science in Australia. Ustadh Belal has been offering his service to the community for many years and has been working with a number of Islamic organisations for over ten years. He has developed several counselling programs for Muslim families and youth.


By the Grace of Allah, distributions of his lecture CDs have reached a global audience and are sold in the UK, USA and Indian subcontinent. Among his popular works include Ahmed the Repenter, Those who desire Paradise, and The Compassion of Mohammed (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) to the World. He has also written a childrens story book The Story of Adam (Alaihi Salaam) which was illustrated and published recently.


Ustadh Belal has spent many years in public relations work with State Government Departments, Local Councils and the Victoria Police for the benefits of the Muslim community. He is a certified Minister of Religion and Marriage Celebrant.

Listen, go look at what Scholars have said then about the Shia so called muslims. If you wanna take them as your brothers and sisters then go ahead, they certainly aren't mine and they certainly cannot be the brothers and sisters of any believer. Anyone who curses the sahaba and permits what Allah and His Messenger SAW has forbidden is not a muslim. That makes them no brother of mine

@Impervious2Pain Look, PEOPLE THERE IS NO SUNNI, SHIA, SALAFI, JIHADI, WAHABI OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT IN ISLAM. A true Muslim is one who follows the Qu'ran and the Sunnah of the Prophet pbuh based on the collections of hadith given to us by the righteous predecessors. Anyone who trangresses beyond that is not a TRUE Muslim.

@domaap3000 The terms shia or sunni.. hmm I really feel sorry about this seperation. ISLAM IS 1.. if you believe that there is ONE GOD, Allah swt and the prophet Mohamed sws was his messenger, then your a muslim. If you are a good muslim, if your deeds will be accepted, that's a question wich you nor anyone can't answer, accept for Allah swt. It was all about power when these issues appeared.
