  • A lot of us that has had the band NEEDED THIS! YOUR GOD SENT!

  • Thank you for the KICK IN THE PANTS!! I am 2 mo post op with only 1 fill & the cheating has started before Easter although no gain of weight & no "sickness" & I'm eating what's on program but ie: drinking & eating .. Will get back on track & am having a 2nd fill this week. Although I have lossed 37lbs thanks for the wake up call.

  • Sherie, its no surprise you were mad, i have 2 friends who cheat constantly, we had surgery the same day. I sometimes feel a little anxious to let them know how well i am doing, because it causes unwanted jealousy. I so want them to suceed too! but i can't do the diet for the them can I?. I have 15lbs to goal. I can't help feeling they should do more & i too, get mad sometimes when they complain. You can't please everybody i guess, & you certainly can't put the right food into their mouths! HUGS

  • Not being too harsh - at all. It is what it is. The Band requires dedication and work. You either do the work and lose the weight or you don't and you don't. Tell it like it is!

  • You aren't being too harsh! People NEED to hear this. I had an RNY, but it sure as hell hasn't been easy. You have to do what you need to do. I've kept it off for almost 12 years. It just makes me SO sad that some people aren't mentally ready for the surgery. It so surprises me how often folks can blame everything but themselves. I've found over the years that it's rare that's it's the surgeon or the wrong surgery for the person. They just weren't ready. :-( I run a supp group and see it a lot.

  • What you are saying is so true. I go crazy when I watch videos that people do that are complaining about not losing but yet still eat crazy stuff. I just don't get it. I mean the rules are written out clearly. Plus all of us who have been there done that, directing traffic, helping out, giving advice and they still don't take it and still cry make me completely crazy, so yes I can see your frustration. Thank you for this video it is good to hear. Congrats on your accomplishments. :-)

  • This is the first time I have watched one of your videos and I loved it. Like you, I get very irritated with whiners and people who make excuses. I will occasionally make a conscious decision to break one of the rules but I am accountable for that decision and know exactly what the consequences are. Don't be angry at your friend, she has to find her own way; we all do.

  • I totally agree YOU MUST FOLLOW THE RULES IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL!!! SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO BE A LITTLE HARSH & HONEST TO MAKE PEOPLE GET THE BIG PICTURE. WHY GO THROUGH SURGERY AND TREAT IT LIKE ITS A MAGIC WAND THAT WILL WORK WITHOUT ANY EFFORT. GET REAL PEOPLE. TO GET WHERE YOU WANT TO BE YOU GOT TO SACRIFICE.

  • my last video talks about this, "what's your excuse" I was just over it, so I had to make a vid as well.

    GREAT video!!!!!

  • when i was looking into surgery-the medic I spoke to said--you have to be even more determined to lose with the band... because the dumping doesn't occur and that does make you stop poor choices-- so please peeps- listen up-- you haveto be even more determined to follow rules with the BAND--for success.
