This is a good song she has a lovely voice. It is very rare to have singers with natural talent like this, her voice sounds calming and also catchy at the same time.

So interesting - Doris Akers was one of the few Black Gospel artists whose songs crossed over into Southern/White Gospel - witness the Gaither videos she guests in. Her songs are still touching and blessing people!

Honey In That Rock is another song that really shines. Ever since I first heard this song, it has constantly been in my head! This is my favorite version, due to its fast pace/tempo, which is far more upbeat than the other version I heard. I completely agree with gospelthang's comment, this is a wonderful song!

when I hear Doris singing, I hear someone who was so full of God's love and Gods spirit that its just is so overwhelming. Her lyrics are so easy to understand, but at the same time so powerful that it consumes our souls.
