is the terrible framerate a result of using blackfin module or wifi link/phone side?

It's a combination of things. The Omnivision OV9655 camera sends at a MAX of 15 fps. Add to that the latency for the blackfin core to transfer this data to the Lantronix Matchport WLAN, then wifi network latencies, then the time needed to recieve/display each frame on the g1 and it slows things down. Furthermore, to grab each frame, the g1 has to request the frames which adds even more latency.

hahaha the one thing this robot was engineered to do, cutting up cupcakes in two and it fails. It's lucky it's cute
