I believe you are correct, that the dance indeed is paso doble and that the title Bolero, we can only give credit to Ravel and not the dance bolero as Slavik is not a rhythm dancer but a latin dancer where the dance bolero is not included among the five dances.

someone on another video was moaning about rumba not actually being a rumba but called bolero.. this video is called bolero but full of paso doble!!.. someone explain??

Too little agility, flexiblity and lack attention to details. Well, Slavic has always got problems how to get the best from his partners. Joanna is now the best female dancer in the world. And he used to dance with Her ! Well, 10 years ago. Now Michael managed what Slavic couldn't have done with anybody else. Individualist.
