http://www.benstrange.co.uk/ - In this video I show my 66-year-old nan attempting to use Windows 8 Consumer Preview, She has used a computer since April 2009, then she used Windows XP on my Compaq Presario 6000, Now she uses Windows 7.
In the comments of the video 'My Dad Using Windows 8 Consumer Preview' there was many people telling me that I gave my Dad too many hints, Including Chris Pirillo. So in this video I tried to give my nan no hints, Although I had to give her a few at times because she wasn't going anywhere and it felt like she never was going to get anywhere.
She found it very difficult to use as it's completely different to what she has ever used, when she upgraded to Windows 7 she found it very easy as Windows XP and Windows 7 look pretty similar.
This shows how difficult and confusing Windows 8 will be for grandparents if all they are used to is Windows 95 - Windows 7, as they all do look pretty similar.
This is a video response to Chris Pirillo's video of his dad trying out Windows 8 for the first time.
Thanks for watching!

This reminds me of the game I play every week.
The game is called, "Where the fuck has my Youtube inbox gone to NOW?"

I'm a PC gamer, programmer, and a web designer. I don't like Windows 8 for many justified reasons. It's not about who or what you are. It's about the OS appealing and working for a wide audience. They still have time to offer alternative UI settings for many of the unintuitive features. Windows 8 has potential and could have been a much better success if it wasn't rushed and poorly executed. There is still time to redeem it.
Now quit being an abusive fanboy, and instead, be constructive.

Windows 7 is the new XP. The problem with Windows 8's Metro was designed for touch interfaces so doing some of these things might feel a bit more natural on a windows phone or tablet, but on a PC it was just a terrible idea(not natural for mouse/keyboard interface).

I only use the desktop option. The app screen is just a huge start menu for me.
