@VeritasUnae The message is that even with all the partying and joy that he should be feeling, he still feels alone and unloved. That his pain is deep and thus he needs a deeper remedy then the masks that he puts on for everyone around him, the word choice is the mask his words on their own and on the surface are shallow and cheery but it goes deeper then that. From the outside he looks just as shallow as they are but peel back the mask and he's a tortured soul.
