I read a book awhile back called American Theocracy, and one of the topics that it touched on was that all the great economic and military powers of the past all fell into decline because of religious fundamentalism, in there own society's, military overextension and economic failure. I believe all of those things are happening right know in America, and thats why I left it.

@Enferushostis Not everyone that lives in America supports its gov't and DC foreign policy. Occupy wall street is just one example and their have always been movements against war in America. Understand that if the american people lose their country, you will lose yours just the same. Im talking one world govt, and its only a matter of time unless the 99% of the world do not unite, instead of bicker.

one difference between Rome and the US empire is that Rome was under real and constant threat from Marcus Aurelius' time (161-180 AD) onwards as "barbarians" saw wealth to the south and wanted their share of it. the US is so insane as to bankrupt itself when there was no threat other than the one created in response to its own massive and evil hubris.

when America falls into oblivion they will have NOONE to blame but themselves

@Enferushostis Our government does not represent us anymore. It hasn't represented us since about 1913. The majority of Americans do not like what our government has been doing, but the news media won't let the rest of the world know that. A lot of people are oblivious as to what is going on as well.

It is true, but also true that USA actually based it's empire on the Roman module, so i suppose it is fitting that it goes the same way, however the Romans were much more resililent, Tough, and much better operators than Americans, and their empire lasted 1000 years. It has to be said with todays communications and travel no empire that relies on Military and subversion rather than it's cultural values can last, Soviets lasted 70 and USA about 100, thats it!
