Enjoy the last stronghold of Garratt Locomotives in the world. This video shot in 1990 by Randy Scholl
shows a nice variety of classes and locations in Zimbabwe(Formerly Rhodesia). You will see freight and passenger trains, and cool stuff like a shed and shop visit, and interviews with the shed and shop managers about steam. Mainline operations are covered including the Thompson Junction line and the Plumtree line. Cab ride in a 20th class, and high-stepping action with 15th class 4-6+6-4 Garratts.
