do you need much flexibility in the shoulders to perform dumbbell snatches because i honestly can't do sht all with barbell snatches, and besides, I dont have bumpers

signor miletto non vorrei essere impertinente ma sta piegando il braccio prima di aver finito l'estensione dei fianchi.. almeno questo noto dal video!

Great technique dude...thanx for the vid, i always refrence it the mornings when i plan to do snatches...my gym (planet fitness, hey it's only $10/mth) won't allow barbell snatches so i have to do dumbell...again thanks

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The instant the bodybuilders/juice-heads step on to a sports field or basketball court they have no chance.
Olympic Lifts are King. God Speed!

@db500092 WTF? thats only partially true, and even then only at a stretch. yes there is a proven relationship between cross sectional muscle area and force production. but the idea you always lift at some bullshit 4 second negative pace is too simplistic. even those training for hyperthrophy should still be using dedicated strength and power cycles in their periodised training plans. unless they dont know what they are doing.
-
who are all these fools who seem to have trouble grasping that being generally fit is not the same as being big? incidentally, all the guys i know who eat drink and shit olympic lifts like this and their variations look a lot better than any bodybuilding pussy, are stronger than any of the body building juiced up pricks and would completely wipe the floor with any of them in power, speed and endurance terms also.
-
@db500092 dunno why I said isometric meant isolation. Just to me it doesn't seem effective is all.

@db500092 It's not about building muscle, it's about building explosive power. And it IS a compund exercise. Not everyone is training to get huge, athletes train a lot different to body builders. It is a different style of training, for people with different goals other than hypertrophy. It isn't dangerous either, with correct technique.
I like to do less squat when I do it. One of the guys that train at the gym i go told me you wanna do a lot of hip in it. Basically squat down with the DB in the middle with the chest out. Then explode upwards and make like your D!ck is touching the mirror. thrust the hips out and throw that DB up. Then bring it down basically the same way he does it on the video. Im up to 75lbs one hand. goal is 100 by august.
