Btrfs ("Butter FS") is a new copy on write filesystem for Linux aimed at implementing advanced features while focusing on fault tolerance, repair and easy administration. Initially developed by Oracle, Btrfs is licensed under the GPL and open for contribution from anyone.

Oracle passed the torch of OpenOffice org to the Apache Foundation. Avi is an Oracle Australia employee from way before the Sun acquisition, my guess is that he used MS Office all his career like the rest of his peers. Unlike Sun employees who moved to StarOffice/OpenOffice a decade ago as part of Sun´s commitment to OO.o

Hehehe, its a presentation by an Oracle guy, but he's using Microsoft PowerPoint rather than Oracle's own in house OpenOffice Impress :P

I'm running btrfs with two hard drives in RAID0 right now. Low mtbf is okay for consumer pcs, as long as you make proper backups.
