On 12-22-09 I was Railfanning at Jenkinsburg Ga, when Train 230 was stopped by the Detector Alarm and I took advantage of the opportunity to video it.

  • walter, the computerized voice what scanner frequencies is that on? I have my scanner programmed with most of the NS signals, but never hear that.

  • Thanks, The detectors are on the same mainline frequencie the crews transmit on. 160.950 I believe

  • Merry Christmas Pwalpar! Cool video. When I was in Barstow on Monday, I saw a UP come to a quick stop. A grinding noise was coming from one of the wheels of one of the cars that was towards the end of the train. This train was over 100 cars long, so it took the crew a while to reach the back. I also saw some UP workers. I didn't film this, but it reminds me of your video. Good job!

  • Sounds like it would have made an interesting video. Thats one reason I always take my camera, Ya just never know when a video opportunity will arise. Thanks for watching

  • Awesome video, 5 stars!!!!
