@vcdaniels auto mobiles cause a lot more deaths with most accidents having some type of intoxicant involved.. should we ban cars? The funny part is , most gun deaths are suicides excluding LA gangs and Baltimore criminal trash. Why is it that DC with one of the strictest policy on guns is still one of the highest in crime rate? If a criminal was breaking into a house , would he go to an area with high firearm possession rates or would he go somewhere guns are strictly enforced?

When Bush was President you were restricted to "free speech zones" even while outside the halls of Congress. Were the the gun nut conservatives brandishing loaded firearms restricted to "right to bare arms zones"?

Correction: Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican Party member. And LBJ was no civil rights advocate. He was reluctant to sign the act not because he thought the southern Democrats would run to the Republican party, but because he thought the racist Democrats would split from the rest and form a third party. What? Did I say racist Democrats? Yes, the leading opponents to the Civil Rights act were Al Gore Sr., Sam Ervin, and Robert Byrd, a former KKK member who is still a Senate Democrat.

And again, no, conservatives generally don't want to murder a president any more than liberals would want to, though I can't speak for the occasional violent freak. The "tyrant whose blood must water the tree of liberty" and the t-shirts are straw men.

Lee Harvey Oswald was not a conservative. He was very much pro-communist, about as far from conservative as you can get. Conservatives as a whole don't want Obama to get shot, certainly not Rush or myself, and Ed knows better - he's just saying something outrageous to make a splash.

George W. Bush had liberal activist protesters sent out of the halls of Congress for wearing shirts that were anti-Bush. T-SHIRTS!! But conservatives show up to Barack Obama speeches WITH LOADED GUNS and he's just supposed to accept it? Why does the black president have to accept loaded murder weapons when the white one doesn't even have to put up with cotton clothing??!!

Movies are not real life. JFK was not killed by a cinematic CGI effect. Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Grant . . . all white. And none of them had conservatives (or Tories - who btw, did not think America should exist - in Wahington's time) brandishing loaded and ready to fire muskets across the lane from their speeches. So they don't think Obama is the "tyrant" whose "blood" must "water the tree of liberty"? Those "Pray for Obama Psalm 109:8-9" t-shirts were just spiritual guidance, huh?
