I have one myself and am feeling inspired to try and restore it to a little bit better shape. It's playable enough that I might make a video of its play. It needs more cosmetic work than anything. As far as the comments about the "pipes", I believe that they are intended to add sound resonance. Mine are hollow above the bell bars and so like a guitar, I believe the sound is supposed to travel in and out of them to make a deeper sound. Nice job on your work and the recording!

What are the pipes for?

What is the opening piece you play? I love it

Hey good job restoring it!
It's sounds a little harsh on the top end though. Is that the recording? Or perhaps something else? Obviously there is no cover. Is that the reason? Sorry I don't mean to offend. I'm just curious.

I don't know , it's a simple construction and I didn't renewed the hammers.
It's also a matter of playing. Well I used it recently for a few solo's while playing in a jazz sextet , I miked the celeste and it sounded real nice

There is a Mustel celesta for sale on ebay, item number 380181805317. Check it out. And by the way, the pipes on the jenco are not fake, they're just often inaccurately tuned.

Well I know the metal alu pipes are not fake, they act as resonators. The fake issue refers tot the wooden panel with fake organ-looking pipes, that my father placed on the celesta , maybe for covering the lid (he didn't like the view, I don't know)
