This is a video compilation of Citara, a 2 year old American Alsatian, and various moments throughout her training. She has recently switched from trailing to airscent after finally successfully trailing on tracks that were aged 12 hours. We hope to certify through Search and Rescue Dogs of Colorado in another year as an airscent dog team. Wish us luck. There's still so much to do. Who said volunteering was easy. :)

  • I feel that they are an overpriced mixed breed. They're right up there with maltipoos and puggles. You can most likely find the same type of dog at many animal shelters.

  • @MsLabMom Yes, please go and save a life. There are so many animals in the shelters that need someone to take care of all the potential health bills and temperament issues. If you have the money and time, I applaud you for your help. But, please educate yourself on the big business of shelters. They bring in stray dogs from all over the world to deceive you into thinking the US is over-populated. To be sure, we do have our share, but don't be fooled by the numbers.

  • @MsLabMom You are entitled to your opinion, of course, but our dogs are not overpriced. Our dogs are worth every penny. You pay upfront for excellent health and stable temperaments, not to mention great loving solid builds that are stunning to watch.

  • Yes, please go get one! Save a life.

  • Thank you for the acknowledgment. Yes, we've been working Citara regularly for 2 years by the time most of this footage was shot. At the moment I'm writing this, I'm not certified, but hope to get a lot accomplished this summer and be ready to take the certification tests this fall. Phew!

  • You don't have an American Alsatian, you have a mutt. I could go down the the shelter and get myself the same type of dog for $100 or less.

  • This video shows a lot if you pay attention. it takes a lot of hours working with your dog to get the dog to track. good job... most folks are too lazy to do this kind of stuff... you go girl!
