  • @alpbukhari if samosa, katlama, korma, kulcha and biryani and tandoori etc came from turkey i am beginning to wonder what the hell were we eating before all these came to pakistan. probably just beans bread and rice lol.

  • @tube4625 We Uzbeks also have Qatlama or Katlama. In turkic it means something folded. It makes sense since is made o puff pastry. W make it for eid or engagement ceremonies. I was amazed when i learnt that the Pakistani also have Katlama and actually call it katlama.. I think our Thest Babur brough samusa, Katlama., korma, kulcha and biryani dishes to India.. Indians fry their samusa and we uzbks bake our somsa in tandeer.

  • @Metsada007 thanks for the info brother; i did not know that our katlama and paneer originated from turkey. more than anything else along with turkish food i would have loved to see some women in my country like you have in turkey. sadly that did not happen. the combination of white skin, dark black hair and blue eyes is just stunning to look at. usually women from southern europe. haha strangely i am not into blondes.

  • @tube4625

Sorry, I forgot to say that "katlama" is a Turkish word. What Indians call paneer is probably derived from the Turkish word peynir (cheese). I can give numerous examples. The Turkic influence is obvious; from India to Europe, from North Africa to the Middle East. And vice versa of course...

Selam brother.. I have never heard of this dish, but then, Turkish cuisine is one of the most diverse and refined cuisines in the world. There are thousands of authentic and extremely delicious dishes and many regional differences. This dish is nothing special. I think Pakistani cuisine is also interesting, because it has different influences (central Asian, Turkic, Persian, Afghan, Indian, etc. ). I think I would really like it, but I've never made anything so far.

  • @sabashsabash strangely i was watching that same clip you suggested around the time you suggested it; lol; thanks anyway.

  • @tube4625: Salam, you can find the desi (Pakistani) recipe at youtube's user "CookingAmmi" - Katlama.

Her recipes are good, and fairly easy to follow.

  • beautiful; is this turkish?

i am from pakistan and we have something called katlama but its like thick spicy glazed bread like the size of a large pizza
