I don't know about you but I write down all of the 0 and 1's on paper and lock them in a fireproof safe just to be extra sure its secure :)

i also heard u use open-solaris,
isnt there some litigation issues e.g oracle wiped out solaris to be free to use and the open versions had some problems i heard
-
xaser 3 cases, used to have one of those, not portable lol

are you a guy or girl

I am quite like you to be honest. Do you think open Solaris is more secure then a flavor of bsd or the redhat/fedora build called cent os?
These IMO opinion are some of the most secure os and nos I have seen.
Do you know if they are secure in the same way you mentioned Solaris is?
Nice video.

are these the kinds of builds that website hosting sites have?

@InfiniStyle You should get out ofter. Girls are as different as dudes are.

@hmjgriffon You mister get you facts straight first and talk only then. NTFS sucks so much, even ext3 in early stages was more efficient than that. ZFS is just technically cosmic! But the problem with ZFS in its license, which does opensource vs lesser opensource war.

@timramich LVM+MDRAID+Linux.
-
ZFS tries to kill GPL with CDDL. GPL is opensource. ZFS is WRONG.

@Pepsifx357 Probably because Unix os' have the only/best implementation of ZFS.
I have 8 towers that aren't plugged in, but the router costs a fortune to buy. Any ideas how to setup a DHCP NAT service on one of them?

@NuclearSoftWorks Sure. There are plenty of tutorials on this. First pick which machine and operating system you want to use, then google dhcp server for that system. Let me know if you can't find anything that suits you.

@msknight5 All the computers are IBMs ranging from Pentium2s to Pentium3s and one server is a Pentium-D 865 which is used for file storage. But the primary problem I face is that the router I use to access the web cannot have DHCP disabled in it, so online routing through a NAT is almost impossible. The machine's are running Window s Server 2003, with 4 NICs installed.

@NuclearSoftWorks The character count here is small. PM me with what you're trying to achieve and at what point in your plans, you're having trouble.
If the DHCP can not be turned off, then you might have a problem; there is no way of being certain which DHCP server will service a request.
But I'll wait for you to send me more detail. It might take me a while to think on what you need.
