tatami mat cutting with Igusa zori from korisuya

iguas zori i got from Korisuya.com. delivery was quick. basic running slice in them felt like i had sneakers on plus standing still in them feels great. too bad it was too hot outside to do anymore stuff, 2 rolled mats used as targets (2 mat per target), i did a few underhand draws out of the saya for the heck of it, the sweat kelp getting in my eyes even with the head band on....was like 98.F 38.C

@TeHGoodReverend i just cut a yellow bamboo with the bamboo sword so you can see what im talking about. the bamboo sword is a thin blade. video will be up soon

@skymilesdc5 yea, that is true. even if you have the best wepon if you dont have the skill it use it right its no good it all. i bent i lot of good swords even the musashi elite i bent on coke bottle. im that bad =(

@skymilesdc5 Well of course, my skill with a sword is more self taught but its nothing special. If you give an amateur like ChosonNinja a sword vs. A practioner of many years like you or Kenjutsumasters. As long as 55 HRC can cut bamboo I am happy, but I probably won't attempt such a feat.

@TeHGoodReverend Well... you have to remember it depends on the person skill with Hasuji. because if you can't do Hasuji correctly your blade will bend or snap in two no matter how good your sword is.

i have cut yellow bamboo with that sword before, but again it's the person skill with Hasuji not the sword

@HouzanSuzuki Sorry to bother you Houzan, but do you if a katana with 55 HRC can cut bamboo? I know it can cut Tatami but I am not sure if it can cut bamboo.
