It was not the democrats nor the republicans who failed us. Its those who *own* us who failed us, but only on purpose. Examine anything about humanity deep enough, you will discover the truth. Despite how much society demonizes the truth.

There was NO oversight by the GOP-lead Congress from 2001-2006, flyingfishsurf. None. They refused to investigate Bush, of course. Not until 2007, when the DEMs came in, did the investigations begin, and UNCOVER the utter failures, lies, corruption, and secrets, by these Republicans. So many of these guys left office, resigned in shame. Some to prison. But the investigations still uncover so much criminal activity, going as far up as POTUS. Treason, torture, and all manner of lying to Congress.

bush pushed through a domestic spying program without having it checked for legality. bush then faced a massive resignation from DOJ like in the nixon era.

bush's wh trying to bully and force a weakened, hospitalized man to sign something he wouldnt have signed had he been well and couldnt have signed since he wasnt authorized to do so at that time. also there seems to be no connection between the madrid bombing and bush's domestic spying program.
