  • WHy did they put fanengines on this thing??

  • @CobraMarty The car has skirts that create a seal between the car and the road. The fans suck air out from under the car which creates a vacuum = sucking the car down to the road. The fans create as much downforce with the car sitting still or going full speed.

You need max downforce in corners - which are usually taken slower than the rest of the track. Having max downforce at slower speeds is better than wings and spoilers.

  • The little 2 stroke engine is powering the fans and drowning out the Chevy underneath

  • I heard that the car would stick to a cieling even when it was stationary because the suction was so high.

  • @gigem85 so does that mean you could drive it upside down in a tunnel going slowly like you could with an F1 car at full speed?

  • So is it like a hovercraft in reverse?

  • where is it??

  • to is plane

  • What if you needed to replace the rear tires? :\

  • @Tomasch

Yep, a very fast washing machine :)

  • What is that? A washing machine?

  • So the skirts made contact with the ground, wouldn't that damage them?

  • @ikrit88 yeh: sux, don't it?
