My partner just got her brand new Beemer today, Dec. 5th, 2009. Was supposed to be in Feb. I still wait for mine. Just a short video of her riding home while I had to drive!
@sinophilia long run we took them cross country this summer.
weight is great and slow speed only as good as your skills...perfect for us. Going to Alaska next summer with these bikes too....I have one as well....more videos on my channel if you want to see where we have taken them.
@lsoph9 thanks, I think I really need a woman's advice here as I am just 5,4" and 103 pounds, been riding for 7 years but nothing heavier than a TW200.
@sinophilia you are very light all i can say is go and take the 650 for a ride. maybe the low suspension version. The Twin engine kicks ass on the single you are looking at and will enable you to explore further and more confidently. if you can ride you will be amazed as to what you can ride. We have owned everything from 750 pound Harley to SV650's, Honda CBF1000's etc. Test ride and sit on the 650. See how you feel, your height is not that bad. I am 5'4 1/2 ;-) but heavier. lol
@voutstg Cheryl is 5'5" with a 32 inch inseam....i am almost 5"5" with a short inseam...we both fit the bike fine with regular suspension and regular stock seat.
cool bike, how was it on the long run? how is the weight at slow speed?
I'm thinking of getting a G650GS or a Xcountry next year, been riding only small lightweight bikes until now.
