That's a great presentation of the SM by someone who obviously knows and understands its seductive charm and its unrivalled technological leadership 30 years ago. You were absolutely right in just buying it; I bought the new C6 for the same reasons and deplore the brainless mainstream car owners!

this is my favorite automobile. a creation so beautiful, so finely wrought as the sm transcends all measure of reliability or practicality. it is as henry moore's sculpture, eero saarinen's arch, charles eames' chair; timeless, exquisite, breathtaking. this machine is unmatched for sheer style and i suspect it always will be. thank you for this video.

Very nice car. I have a 15 years old modern day XM. Much of the technology is the same. I do all maintainance work myself, and my hands are never clean. But a great car to drive when everything is working. I know the SM is a great challenge. Good luck!

Thanks for opening my eyes to the reality of life. It's quite short. Indeed. You've inspired me to start my search for one. I've always let the little angel on my right dictate my buying decisions. A great car, but I would imagine as a vintage car its technical complexity would make it a difficult car to maintain. Best of luck with your SM. Hope you get many years of pleasure from it.
